Combine finely ground roasted peanuts, cayenne pepper, paprika, salt, ground ginger, garlic paste, and onion paste in a small bowl to create the sooya spice blend.

Pat the beef or chicken pieces dry with paper towels, then rub them generously with the spice blend, ensuring all pieces are well coated.

Heat a large skillet or heavy-bottomed pot over medium-high heat without oil, then add the spiced meat pieces and sear until browned on all sides.

Reduce heat to medium and add the onion chunks, stirring occasionally until the onions begin to soften and release their juices.
