Slice the red onion into thin rings and separate them into individual pieces. Slice the tomato into even rounds, roughly ΒΌ-inch thick.

Heat a skillet or grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface. Once hot, place the lamb burger on the heat and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until it reaches desired doneness.

During the final minute of cooking, place the cheddar on top of the lamb burger and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.

Lightly toast the bread if desired to add texture and prevent sogginess from condiments.

Spread a layer of tzatziki on the bottom half of the toasted bread.

Layer the lettuce leaves onto the tzatziki-coated bread, then add the cooked cheese-topped lamb burger.

Top the patty with tomato slices and red onion rings, then cap with the upper half of the bread. Serve immediately while the burger is still warm.
