Sweet Chili with Macaroni

This chili is really good, especially with the macaroni in it, has beef and beans too and I garnished it with sour cream, cheese, and green onions. YUMMY. From "Catsrecipes Y-Group" Makes 8 servings.

Brown the ground beef in a large heavy-bottomed pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon as it cooks, approximately 8-10 minutes until no pink remains.

Add the chopped onions and minced garlic to the browned beef and sauté, stirring frequently, until the onions are softened and translucent, about 4-5 minutes.

Stir in the chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and black pepper until fully incorporated and fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add the drained and rinsed red kidney beans and stir to distribute evenly throughout the pot.

Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, for 20-25 minutes to allow flavors to meld and the sauce to thicken slightly.

While the chili simmers, cook the elbow macaroni according to package directions in a separate pot, then drain thoroughly.
