Tartar Sauce I

Make this once yourself, and you'll never turn to the bottled stuff again. You'll save fat and sodium, to boot. The recipe can easily be halved.

Method

Combine the reduced-fat mayonnaise, finely diced cucumber, dill pickles, green onion, and capers in a small bowl.

Stir the mixture thoroughly until all ingredients are evenly distributed and the sauce is well combined.

Taste and adjust seasoning if desired, adding more capers or pickles for additional tang if preferred.

Transfer to a serving dish or storage container and refrigerate until ready to serve with fish, seafood, or fried foods.
