Method

Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook egg noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.

In a large bowl, combine cooked ground sausage, cream of chicken soup, diced tomatoes (with liquid), salsa, and drained mushrooms.

Add the cooked egg noodles to the sausage mixture and stir until well combined.

Stir in 1.5 cups of shredded cheddar cheese, reserving the remaining 0.5 cup for topping. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic salt to taste.

Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading evenly.

Sprinkle the reserved 0.5 cup of cheddar cheese evenly over the top of the noodle mixture.

Bake uncovered at 350°F for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden and the filling is heated through.
