- skinless4 unitboneless chicken breast halves

- Creole-style seasoning to taste1 unit
- (14.5 oz) can stewed tomatoes1 unitwith liquid

Arrange boneless chicken breast halves in the bottom of a slow cooker and season with salt, pepper, and Creole-style seasoning on both sides.

Combine diced onion, celery, green bell pepper, minced garlic, and chopped fresh jalapeno pepper in a bowl.

Pour the stewed tomatoes with their liquid over the chicken, then layer the vegetable mixture on top and around the chicken pieces.

Stir in the drained mushrooms and distribute the sauce and vegetables evenly throughout the slow cooker.

Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6 hours, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.

Remove the chicken breasts and shred or cut them into bite-sized pieces using two forks or a sharp knife.
