Peel and slice the bananas into ¼-inch thick rounds, keeping them separate to prevent browning.

Toast the sesame seeds in a dry skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until fragrant and lightly golden, then set aside.

Heat the unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until melted and foaming slightly.

Add the grated ginger root and orange zest to the melted butter, stirring constantly for 1 minute to release the aromas.

Place the banana slices in the skillet in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes on the first side without stirring.
