Method

Crumble the tempeh into bite-sized pieces using your hands or a fork until it resembles ground meat.

Mince the garlic cloves finely and set aside with the chopped onion and green pepper.

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the crumbled tempeh, stirring occasionally until it begins to brown and develop texture.

Add the chopped onion and green pepper to the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables begin to soften.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Pour in the tomato sauce and add the chili powder and salt, stirring well to combine all ingredients.

Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and the flavors meld together.
