- "Mrs. Dash" seasoning1/2 tsp

Heat oil in a large pot or heavy-bottomed pan over medium-high heat until shimmering.

Add chopped onion to the hot oil and sauté for 3-4 minutes until translucent and fragrant.

Stir in the diced tomatoes and finely chopped pepper, cooking for 2-3 minutes until the tomatoes begin to break down.

Add the stewing meat to the pot and brown on all sides, stirring occasionally, for 5-7 minutes.

Dissolve the groundnut paste (peanut butter) in 1/2 cup warm water, stirring until smooth, then pour into the pot.

Add Mrs. Dash seasoning, cayenne pepper (if using), and salt to taste, stirring well to combine all ingredients.

Bring the stew to a simmer over medium heat, then reduce heat to low and cover partially with a lid.
