Raisin-Apple Sauce for Ham
Good with hot or cold ham or ham sandwiches.

In a medium saucepan, combine the apple juice, raisins, and firmly packed brown sugar. Stir well to begin dissolving the sugar.

In a small bowl, whisk the cornstarch together with a few tablespoons of the apple juice mixture until smooth to create a slurry. Set aside.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the apple juice and raisin mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally.

Pour the cornstarch slurry into the simmering mixture while stirring constantly to prevent lumps from forming.

Continue to cook the sauce over medium heat, stirring frequently, until it thickens and becomes glossy. This should take about 3 to 5 minutes.
