Heat a generous drizzle of olive oil in a medium saucepan or deep skillet over medium heat until shimmering.

Add the diced onion and chopped red bell peppers to the pan, sautéing while stirring occasionally until softened and lightly golden.

Season the vegetables with salt, ground black pepper, and pepper sauce to taste, stirring well to evenly coat.

Add the long-grain rice to the pan and stir it into the vegetable mixture, toasting the grains lightly for enhanced flavor.
