Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a deep oven-safe casserole pan (tavë) with a little oil.

Trim and thoroughly wash the leeks, then slice them into thin rounds. Peel and finely dice the onion.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat and sauté the diced onion until softened and translucent, about 4–5 minutes.

Add the sliced leeks to the skillet and cook, stirring occasionally, until they are tender and slightly caramelized.

Add the ground meat to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until it is evenly browned. Season generously with salt.

Stir in the tomato sauce, mixing well to combine all ingredients, and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

Transfer the meat and leek mixture into the prepared tavë, spreading it evenly and drizzling a little oil over the top.
