Combine the sugar and milk in a large pot, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely.

Add the finely-grated figs to the pot and stir well to distribute evenly throughout the milk mixture.

Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking on the bottom of the pot.

Continue simmering for 15 minutes, stirring frequently, until the mixture thickens and the figs are fully incorporated into a creamy sauce.
