Method
1
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Arrange the sliced fresh pears in a 9-inch baking dish, spreading them evenly across the bottom.
2
Combine the pear juice, dried pears, and cinnamon stick in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 8–10 minutes to soften the dried pears and infuse the liquid with cinnamon flavor.

3
Pour the warm pear juice mixture (including the softened dried pears) over the fresh sliced pears in the baking dish. Discard the cinnamon stick or leave it in for additional flavor.
4
In a medium bowl, combine the oatmeal, ground cinnamon, and maple syrup, stirring until the mixture is evenly moistened and crumbly.
5
Distribute the oatmeal topping evenly over the pear filling, gently pressing it down with the back of a spoon to create an even layer without compacting it too firmly.
6
Bake for 20–25 minutes until the topping is golden brown and the filling bubbles slightly around the edges.

7
Remove from the oven and let the crisp cool for 5–10 minutes before serving. This allows the filling to set slightly while remaining warm.
