Peel the banana and slice it into chunks, then hull and halve the strawberries. If using fresh fruit, place both in the freezer for at least 30 minutes to help achieve a thicker, creamier texture.

Measure out the fat-free milk and set it aside along with the ice cubes. Having all ingredients ready before blending ensures a smooth, uninterrupted process.

Add the frozen banana chunks and strawberries to a high-powered blender. Layer the ice cubes on top of the fruit.

Pour the fat-free milk over the fruit and ice in the blender. Start blending on low speed, then gradually increase to high until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.

Stop the blender and scrape down the sides with a spatula if any fruit chunks remain. Blend again on high speed for an additional 20 to 30 seconds until the texture is uniform.
