Avocado and chocolate? The combination sounds surprising but tastes great! This dessert recipe was developed by Kirsti Soukka who wanted to recreate a dessert she enjoyed on her holiday in Bali.

Combine 500 ml milk, cornstarch, cocoa powder, and 60 ml sugar in a heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium heat.

Whisk continuously to prevent lumps from forming as the mixture heats.

Add the grated dark chocolate and vanilla extract once the mixture begins to thicken.

Stir constantly until the chocolate sauce reaches a smooth, glossy consistency and coats the back of a spoon.

Remove from heat and let the chocolate sauce cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally.

Halve the ripe avocados and remove the pits, then scoop the flesh into a blender or food processor.

Pour 150 ml milk, 2 tablespoons sugar, and lemon juice over the avocado.

Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.

Divide the avocado cream evenly among four serving glasses or bowls.
