Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring frequently until sugar dissolves completely.

Continue heating the sugar syrup until it reaches a gentle simmer, then remove from heat and allow to cool for 2-3 minutes.

Pour the cooled sugar syrup into a large punch bowl or pitcher.

Add grapefruit juice, orange juice, and pineapple juice to the punch bowl, stirring to combine thoroughly.

Stir in the crushed pineapple until evenly distributed throughout the punch.
