Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.

Cream together the butter and sugar in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the beaten egg to the butter mixture and stir until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking soda, then fold into the wet ingredients until just combined.

Stir in the rolled oats, sweet milk, raisins, and chopped nuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.

Drop rounded spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges are golden brown but the centers remain slightly soft.

Cool the cookies on the baking sheet for 2-3 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
