Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Cream together butter and white sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

Beat in eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Stir in sweet milk until combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.

Fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Do not overmix.

Stir in oats, seeded raisins, and hickory nuts until evenly distributed throughout the batter.

Drop rounded tablespoons of batter onto ungreased baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
