Sweet-and-Sour Green Beans

Method

Pour water into a large saucepan and add the bay leaf and whole cloves, then bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

Add the frozen green beans directly to the boiling water and return to a gentle boil.

Reduce heat to medium and simmer the green beans for 8-10 minutes until they are tender but still slightly firm.

Return the drained green beans to the saucepan over medium heat and add the margarine, stirring until melted.

Add the Equal sweetener and stir until fully dissolved, allowing the flavors to meld for 1-2 minutes.
