Ingredients
- loaves Texas toast (or very thickly sliced bread)2 unit

- box brown sugar1 unit

Crack eggs into a large mixing bowl and whisk together with milk until well combined and slightly frothy.

Sprinkle brown sugar into the egg mixture and whisk until the sugar is dissolved and the custard is smooth.

Heat a large griddle or skillet over medium-high heat and lightly butter the surface.

Slice the Texas toast loaves into thick individual slices, approximately 1 inch thick.

Dip each bread slice into the egg custard, coating both sides thoroughly but not allowing it to become oversaturated.

Place the coated bread slices onto the hot griddle in a single layer, working in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding.

Cook the first side until golden brown and set, approximately 3-4 minutes.
