Dessert Apple Rings
Onions rings are an All-American classic, but did you know that apples make delicious “rings,” too?! This Apple Dessert Rings recipe uses my Cinnamon Cream Syrup recipe just like onion rings use ketchup for dipping.

Combine water and vanilla in a bowl and let sit for 5 minutes to infuse the flavor.

Whisk the egg white until soft peaks form, then gently fold the vanilla-water mixture into it until combined.

Sift together all-purpose flour and salt in a separate bowl to remove any lumps.

Fold the flour mixture into the egg white mixture until a smooth batter forms, being careful not to deflate the egg white.

Core the peeled Granny Smith apples using a small knife or corer, working from top to bottom to create a hole through the center.

Slice the cored apples crosswise into ½-inch thick rings, working quickly to prevent browning.

Heat canola oil in a deep skillet or Dutch oven to 350°F, using a thermometer to ensure proper temperature.

Dip each apple ring into the batter, coating both sides evenly, then carefully place it into the hot oil.

Fry the apple rings in batches for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown, turning once halfway through cooking.
