Thanksgiving Turkey Coating

This will do about a 13 – 15 lb turkey. Other seasonings are to taste. I never did measure. This is a coating you can put on all poultry before roasting. Notice that this does not have any gravy master or oil. Both unneeded in my opinion.

Combine paprika, salt, garlic powder, dried onion, and pepper in a small mixing bowl, stirring until all dry ingredients are evenly distributed.

Add water gradually to the dry mixture, stirring constantly to form a smooth, spreadable paste without lumps.

Rub the paste evenly over the entire surface of the turkey, working it under the skin where possible and ensuring all exposed areas are well coated.

Let the coated turkey rest at room temperature for 15-20 minutes to allow the spices to adhere before roasting.

Roast the turkey according to standard instructions, adjusting any additional seasonings as needed during cooking to maintain the paprika-based coating's flavor profile.
