Taco Seasoning Mix

Combine instant minced onion, salt, chili powder, corn starch, crushed dried red pepper, instant minced garlic, dried oregano, and ground cumin in a small bowl.

Whisk the mixture thoroughly until all spices are evenly distributed and no clumps remain.

Transfer the seasoning mix to an airtight container or small jar for storage, or use immediately with ground meat for tacos.

To use as a taco seasoning, brown 1 pound of ground meat in a skillet, then stir in the entire seasoning mix along with ¾ cup water, and simmer until the mixture thickens and coats the meat.
