Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Whisk together flour, fine oatmeal, baking powder, and salt in a large mixing bowl.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg with sugar until pale and well combined, then stir in the thin cream and milk.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and fold together gently until just combined into a soft dough.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake for 12 minutes until the cookies are light golden brown around the edges.
