Nutmeg Spiced Rice

Method

Melt the butter or margarine in a small saucepan over low heat, then remove from heat and set aside.

Whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, grated lemon peel, chopped fresh parsley, and ground nutmeg in a small bowl until well combined.

Place the hot cooked rice in a large serving bowl and gently fold in the butter-lemon mixture until the rice is evenly coated.

Season the rice to taste with salt and ground black pepper, stirring gently to distribute the seasoning throughout.
