Cut the frankfurters into eighths and set aside; slice the hard-cooked egg and chop the parsley for garnish.

Heat the mayonnaise in a large skillet over medium heat, then whisk in the flour until smooth and well combined.

Gradually stir in the milk, whisking constantly to avoid lumps, and continue cooking until the mixture thickens slightly.
