Mee Goreng (Fried Noodles)
Here is a basic recipe. You can improvise by adding different ingredients of your liking.

Ingredients
- onions2 unitsliced
- garlic4 clovesminced
- tbs oyster sauce2 unit
- tbs ground chilli/sambal oelek (omit this if you do not want it hot)1 unit

- fresh prawns150 gcleaned and shelled

Method

Boil the noodles according to package directions until just tender, then drain and set aside.

Heat the oil in a large wok or frying pan over high heat until shimmering.

Add the sliced onions and minced garlic to the hot oil, stirring frequently until fragrant and the onions begin to soften.

Stir in the curry powder and ground chilli/sambal oelek, combining well with the onions and garlic for 1 minute to toast the spices.

Add the cleaned prawns to the pan and cook, stirring often, until they turn pink and are cooked through.

Pour in the oyster sauce and chicken stock, then add the cooked noodles and toss everything together until the noodles are evenly coated with sauce.

Add the beansprouts and stir-fry for 2 minutes until heated through but still crisp.

Transfer the mee goreng to a serving plate and garnish with the sliced red pepper before serving hot.
