Ingredients

  • pkg. firm or extra-firm tofu
    drained
    1 lb
  • recipe Sesame Ginger Marinade
    1 unit
  • fresh Chinese wheat noodles or linguine
    1 lb
  • broccoli
    cut into florets, stems julienned
    1 lb
  • ¼ cup

Method

Press the drained tofu between paper towels for 5-10 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut into ½-inch thick slices or rectangles.

Place tofu pieces in a shallow dish and coat evenly with the Sesame Ginger Marinade, turning gently to ensure all surfaces are covered. Let marinate for 10-15 minutes.

Preheat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the surface to prevent sticking.

Grill the marinated tofu for 3-4 minutes per side until golden grill marks appear and the tofu is heated through, then transfer to a plate.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fresh noodles according to package directions until tender but not mushy, then drain and set aside.

In the same pot or a separate large pan, bring water to a boil and blanch the broccoli florets for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender-crisp, then drain.

Toss the warm cooked noodles with any remaining Sesame Ginger Marinade, then add the blanched broccoli florets and julienned broccoli stems, stirring gently to combine.

Divide the dressed noodles among four serving bowls and top each portion with grilled tofu slices.
