Slice the fresh strawberries into ¼-inch thick pieces, reserving a few whole berries for garnish if desired.

Combine the sliced strawberries, sugar, and orange-flavored liqueur in a bowl and toss gently until the sugar begins to dissolve and the strawberries release their juices.

Cut the defrosted pound cake into ½-inch thick slices and arrange them in a single layer at the bottom of a serving dish or individual bowls.

Pour half of the strawberry mixture (including juices) over the pound cake slices, allowing the cake to absorb the flavors.

Top the soaked cake with half of the whipped light cream, spreading gently to create an even layer.

Layer the remaining strawberry mixture on top of the whipped cream.

Finish with the remaining whipped light cream, spreading it smoothly over the top and sides.
