Drain and pat dry a can of pineapple tidbits, then set aside. Measure out your spices: allspice, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg.

Melt butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat until it begins to foam. Add brown sugar and stir continuously until the sugar dissolves and the mixture becomes smooth and glossy.

Add the allspice, cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg to the butter and brown sugar mixture, stirring well to bloom the spices in the hot mixture.
