Measure out fresh lemon juice, squeezing lemons as needed and straining out any seeds or pulp to achieve a clean, clear juice.

Combine the sugar and a small portion of water in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring continuously until the sugar is fully dissolved to create a simple syrup.

Remove the simple syrup from heat and allow it to cool to room temperature before using.

In a large pitcher, combine the fresh lemon juice with the cooled simple syrup and stir thoroughly to integrate.

Add the remaining cold water to the pitcher and stir well to dilute the mixture to the desired strength and sweetness level.
