Ingredients
- 6 unit
- .5 cups (250-375 mL) sugar1 - 1 unit
- 3 cups
Method
1
Wash the 6 lemons thoroughly under cool running water and pat dry. Roll each lemon firmly on the counter to help release the juice.
2
Cut the lemons in half and juice them using a citrus juicer or by hand, pressing firmly to extract all the juice. Strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve into a large pitcher, discarding seeds and pulp.
3
Add the sugar to the lemon juice and stir well until the sugar dissolves completely, about 1-2 minutes. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired.
4
Pour the 3 cups of cold water into the pitcher with the lemon and sugar mixture. Stir thoroughly to combine all ingredients.
5
Add ice cubes to the pitcher or to individual serving glasses. Pour the lemonade into glasses and serve immediately.
