Gather your ingredients and equipment: chocolate syrup, club soda, a tall glass, a long spoon, and ice if desired.

Chill your tall glass in the freezer for a few minutes to help keep the drink cold and maintain carbonation longer.

Pour 2 to 3 tablespoons of chocolate syrup into the bottom of the glass, adjusting the amount to your preferred level of sweetness.
