Italian-style Hot Cocoa
This produces a thick, quite rich brew, not for children, but highly chocolate-concentrated. Clearly, it's pretty much just empty calories, but not that much of them, and the fat is only what comes in your cocoa.

Combine cocoa powder, white sugar, cornstarch, and water in a medium saucepan, stirring until smooth and free of lumps.

Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent burning and lumps from forming.

Continue heating and stirring until the mixture thickens and comes to a gentle simmer, approximately 2 minutes.

Divide the prepared hot cocoa into four serving cups and serve immediately while hot.
