Ash and Sarah's Chai Tea

Ingredients
- 4 cups
- cinnamon stick or 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon1 large

- regular tea bags4 unit

Measure 4 cups of water into a large pot and bring to a boil over high heat.

Crack the cinnamon stick slightly to release its oils, then add it to the boiling water along with the ground cardamom, fennel seeds, and whole cloves.

Reduce heat to medium and simmer the spice mixture for 3–4 minutes to allow the spices to infuse fully into the water.

Add the powdered ginger and amchoor (if using) to the simmering water and stir well to combine.

Add the 4 tea bags to the spiced water and simmer for 1–2 minutes until the tea is well steeped.

Pour in 2–3 cups of whole milk (depending on desired strength) and stir gently to combine with the spiced tea.

Heat the chai mixture until small bubbles begin to form around the edges of the pot, but do not allow it to boil vigorously.

Remove from heat and add sugar to taste, stirring until fully dissolved.

Strain the chai through a fine-mesh sieve into serving cups, pressing gently on the tea bags and spices to extract maximum flavor.
