Personally Fit Peach Morning Smoothie

recipe was created for the SC Peach Council by Matt Fulmer, owner of Personally Fit in the Vista, a personal training facility in Columbia, SC. The recipe is a good way to start the day and uses peaches and dairy!

Ingredients

  • peaches - peeled and sliced
    3 unit
  • 1 medium
  • 1 ½ cup
  • lemon lemon or vanilla fat free yogurt
    1 cup
  • 2 tablespoons
  • cinnamon spice instant oatmeal
    1 package

Method

Peel and slice the peaches into bite-sized pieces, discarding the pits.

Peel the banana and break it into chunks for easier blending.

Pour the skim milk into a blender followed by the lemon or vanilla fat-free yogurt.

Add the peach slices and banana chunks to the blender.

Measure the cinnamon spice instant oatmeal and add it to the blender along with the honey.

Blend on high speed for 1–2 minutes until the mixture reaches a smooth, creamy consistency with no visible fruit chunks or oatmeal particles.

Pour the smoothie evenly into 4 serving glasses and serve immediately, stirring between pours if separation occurs.
