Ingredients
- pkg. frozen strawberries in sugar1 unitthawed (15 oz)
- 2 tbsp
- 1 unit
- Pinot Noir1 bottle
- Sauternes1 bottle
- 1 bottle
Method

Thaw the frozen strawberries in sugar if not already thawed, and pour them with their syrup into a large punch bowl.

Stir the grated lime peel and fresh lime juice into the strawberries and syrup until well combined.

Pour the Pinot Noir into the punch bowl and stir gently to incorporate the wine with the strawberry mixture.

Add the Sauternes to the bowl and stir gently to blend without over-aerating the mixture.

Chill the punch base in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving, or prepare up to 4 hours ahead.

Just before serving, open the bottle of dry champagne and pour it into the punch bowl, stirring very gently to preserve the carbonation.

Ladle the punch into individual glasses, ensuring each serving receives strawberries, syrup, and wine, and serve immediately.
