Rice Krispies Treats

Ingredients

  • β…” cup
  • pkg (10 oz
    about 40) large marshmallows or 4 cups miniature marshmallows
    1 unit
  • Kellogg's Rice Krispies
    6 cups

Method

Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat, stirring occasionally to ensure even melting.

Add the marshmallows to the melted butter and stir continuously until completely melted and smooth.

Remove the pot from heat and let cool for 1-2 minutes, then add the Rice Krispies cereal and fold gently until all cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.

Lightly butter a 9x13-inch baking pan and transfer the mixture into it, pressing gently with buttered hands or a spatula to form an even layer.

Allow the treats to cool at room temperature for 10-15 minutes until they are firm enough to cut.

Cut into 16 squares with a buttered or greased knife, wiping the blade between cuts for clean edges.
