Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.

Split the English muffins in half horizontally and place them cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet.

Lightly toast the English muffin halves in the oven for 3 to 4 minutes until they are slightly firm and golden at the edges.

Remove the muffins from the oven and spoon a generous tablespoon of tomato sauce onto each half, spreading it evenly to the edges.

Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded or sliced mozzarella cheese over the sauce on each muffin half.
