Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with butter or oil.

Combine flour, sugar, and baking powder in a large mixing bowl, stirring together until evenly mixed.

Melt the four sticks of butter or margarine in a small saucepan over low heat, then set aside to cool slightly.

Beat the five eggs in a separate bowl, then add vanilla extract and stir until combined.

Pour the melted butter into the flour mixture and mix with a wooden spoon or spatula until partially combined.

Add the egg and vanilla mixture to the bowl and stir until just blended.

Gradually stir in the coconut milk (from both cans) until the batter reaches a smooth, pourable consistency.

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, spreading it evenly with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
