Trim the ends from the fresh green beans and rinse under cold water, then pat dry with paper towels.

Slice the red bell pepper lengthwise into quarters, remove the seeds and white pith, then cut into ¼-inch-wide strips.

Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat until very hot, about 1-2 minutes.

Add the green beans to the hot wok and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they turn bright green and begin to blister slightly.

Add the red bell pepper strips to the wok and continue stir-frying for 2-3 minutes until the pepper is tender-crisp and the beans are cooked through.

Drizzle the sesame oil over the vegetables and toss to coat evenly, cooking for about 30 seconds to release the fragrance.

Transfer the stir-fried green beans and peppers to a serving plate and sprinkle the toasted sesame seeds over the top immediately before serving.
