Ingredients

  • raspberry soda
    1 can
  • 1 large
  • shoyu
    tamari or teriyaki sauce
    1 tablespoon
  • firm or extra firm tofu
    1 pound
  • Few drops toasted sesame oil (optional)
    1 unit
  • to 1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger
    cut into tiny pieces (optional)
    1/4 unit

Method

Peel and lightly crush one clove of garlic to release its aromatic oils.

Place the crushed garlic clove into a tall highball glass and allow it to rest so its flavors begin to express.

Measure out the desired amount of shoyu and set aside at room temperature.

Pour the shoyu over the crushed garlic in the glass, stirring gently to combine the two ingredients.

Fill the glass with ice cubes to chill the mixture thoroughly.

Top the glass with your chosen highball mixer, such as sparkling water or soda, and stir once more to integrate.
