Maple-glazed Sweet Potato Sweet potatoes made with brown sugar and maple syrup. A family favorite that everyone enjoys. If you're not cooking for a vegetarian crowd, you can top these with marshmallows as well.

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and line two large baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.

Using a mandoline or sharp knife, slice the sweet potatoes into very thin rounds, approximately 1/8-inch thick, and pat them dry thoroughly with paper towels.

In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter together with the maple syrup and brown sugar, stirring constantly until the sugar has dissolved and the mixture is smooth and slightly thickened.

Toss the sweet potato slices and pecans in the warm maple-butter glaze until every piece is evenly coated.

Arrange the glazed sweet potato slices in a single layer on the prepared baking sheets, ensuring the slices do not overlap, and scatter the coated pecans evenly around them.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45 to 60 minutes, flipping the slices halfway through, until they are deeply golden and beginning to crisp at the edges.
