Cut the cantaloupe in half, scoop out and discard the seeds, then use a large spoon or melon baller to remove all the flesh from the rind.

Cut the cantaloupe flesh into rough chunks and place them into a blender.

Add honey, a pinch of ground cardamom, and a small handful of fresh mint leaves to the blender with the cantaloupe.

Blend all ingredients on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and uniformly liquid, approximately 45 to 60 seconds.

Taste the blended soup and adjust sweetness with additional honey or intensity with a touch more cardamom as needed.

Pour the blended mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a large bowl or pitcher, pressing gently with a spoon to extract maximum liquid and achieve a silky texture.

Cover the bowl or pitcher with plastic wrap and refrigerate the soup until thoroughly chilled, at least one to two hours before serving.
