Toadstools

Gather your round crackers and peanut butter, and lay out a clean, flat work surface or serving plate to assemble the toadstools.

Using a butter knife or small spoon, scoop a generous dollop of peanut butter onto the flat side of one cracker, spreading it into a mound slightly higher in the center.

Press a second cracker flat-side down onto the peanut butter, sandwiching the two crackers together so the peanut butter holds them in place as the toadstool cap.

Place a small upright cracker or cracker half beneath the sandwich stack to serve as the stem, securing it with a small dab of peanut butter if needed.

Repeat the assembly process with the remaining crackers and peanut butter until you have the desired number of toadstool pieces.

Arrange the finished toadstools upright on a serving platter, spacing them so their cap-and-stem silhouettes are clearly visible for a whimsical presentation.

Serve immediately at room temperature, or refrigerate uncovered for up to 30 minutes to allow the peanut butter to firm slightly before serving.
