Ingredients
- About 1/3 to 1/2 (per serving) cups (80g to 120g) of cheese (Whatever works1 unitcheese-dip, pre-melted cheese, diced cheese, grated cheese...)
- How ever many servings you want of corn chips (other chips that are good as nachos will work too.)1 unit
Method
1
Arrange a single layer of tortilla chips on a microwave-safe plate, ensuring the chips do not overlap for even heating.
2
Sprinkle a generous layer of shredded cheese — such as cheddar, Monterey Jack, or a Mexican blend — evenly over the tortilla chips.
3
Add any desired toppings such as sliced jalapeños, black beans, or cooked ground beef on top of the cheese layer.
4
Place the plate in the microwave and heat on high power until the cheese is fully melted and bubbly, checking every 30 seconds to avoid burning.

5
Carefully remove the plate from the microwave, as it may be hot, and allow the nachos to rest for about 30 seconds before adding cold toppings.

6
Top the melted nachos with cold garnishes such as sour cream, guacamole, pico de gallo, or fresh cilantro.
7
Serve immediately while the cheese is still warm and the chips retain as much crunch as possible.
