Delightfully simple and a great combination of flavors and textures in a small package. Features Medjool dates, crème fraîche and candied ginger.

Ingredients

  • pitted medjool dates
    12 unit
  • crème fraîche (if unavailable
    sour cream)
    1/2 cup
  • candied ginger or walnuts
    finely chopped
    1 unit

Method

Rinse the pitted medjool dates under cool water and pat dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.

In a small bowl, combine the crème fraîche and finely chopped candied ginger (or walnuts), stirring until well mixed.

Using a small spoon or pastry bag, fill each date cavity with approximately 1 teaspoon of the crème fraîche mixture, leaving a slight amount visible at the opening.

Arrange the filled dates on a serving plate in a neat pattern, ensuring they are evenly spaced and visually appealing.

Serve immediately at room temperature or chilled, depending on preference.
