South Carolina Sauce

Method

Combine yellow prepared mustard, white sugar, light brown sugar, cider vinegar, chili powder, black pepper, white pepper, and cayenne pepper in a saucepan.

Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugars dissolve completely.

Add the Tabasco sauce and soy sauce to the pan, stirring well to incorporate.

Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer the sauce for 8–10 minutes to allow the flavors to blend and meld.

Stir in the butter until fully melted and incorporated into the sauce.
