Mustard Mint Butter
This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Love Estate in Sachse, Texas in 1984.

Method

Place the softened butter in a mixing bowl and ensure it is at room temperature for easy blending.

Add the coarse grained mustard, fresh lemon juice, and grated lemon zest to the butter.

Stir in the finely chopped fresh mint and minced garlic until all ingredients are evenly distributed throughout the butter.

Mix thoroughly with a wooden spoon or whisk until the butter is creamy and well combined, about 1-2 minutes.

Transfer the mustard mint butter to a serving dish or shape into a log using plastic wrap for storage and slicing.

Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld and the butter to firm up.
